Carlos Alvarado
A founding member of the progressive rock and electroacoustic group Chac Mool in Mexico in the early 1980s, alongside Jorge Reyes, this Mexican composer and multi-instrumentalist has worked across experimental rock, electronic, and sound art contexts. He was also a member of the electronic duo Vía Láctea with Miguel Angel Nava and of the avant-rock group Decibel, whose work fused rock, jazz, and folk influences. His career spans several decades of exploratory music-making rooted in Mexico City's fertile underground scene.
