Candela Capitan

Born in Seville in 1996 and trained first at the Cádiz Conservatory and then at Barcelona's Institut del Teatre, this performance artist and choreographer develops work at the intersection of contemporary dance, expanded performance, and visual art. Her projects question platform capitalism and hyperconnected image culture by placing bodies alongside smartphones, steel frames, and industrial machinery. She has been featured at Sónar and collaborates across disciplines, including a notable collaboration with producer Lee Gamble on the 2024 project Models.
