Camile Mandoki

Camille Mandoki is a Mexico City-based electronic artist and composer. Born into a family with a rich artistic heritage — her father is the filmmaker Luis Mandoki — she began composing and experimenting with sound around age 19. Her music traverses experimental, electronic, and classical territory, drawing on influences that range from contemporary atonal composition to opera, and creating immersive soundscapes that resist easy categorisation. She released her debut album We Used to Talk for Hours (2016) on Static Discos, a collection of ten tracks composed between 2013 and 2015 marked by haunting vocals and intricate electronic arrangements.
