Buttechno

Buttechno is a project of Pavel Milyakov, a Russian-born electronic musician based in Berlin. Working within a club-adjacent but structurally demanding framework, his music moves across industrial techno, harsh electronics, and abstracted dance forms. He releases on labels including Jazzve and other independent channels aligned with the Berlin and Eastern European experimental underground. His work addresses both the formal possibilities of rhythm and the political contexts of diaspora and displacement — he left Russia following the invasion of Ukraine. Buttechno is associated with the Гост Звук (Ghost Zvuk) collective in Moscow and collaborative circles in Berlin.
