Bruce Russell
Bruce Russell is a New Zealand noise musician, writer, and co-founder of the Dead C with Michael Morley and Robbie Yeats. The Dead C's sprawling, feedback-drenched improvisations and albums — including Harsh 70s Reality (1992) and White House (1995) — became touchstones for noise rock, free improvisation, and anti-music internationally. Russell also releases solo work and has written critically on music and politics. As a theorist and polemicist he has contributed important writings on the ethics and economics of experimental music and its relationship to free culture.
