Brighter Death Now

The recording name of Roger Karmanik, born in 1965 in Sweden and founder of the Cold Meat Industry record label, Brighter Death Now has been active in death industrial, power electronics, and dark ambient since the late 1980s. Early recordings were largely instrumental and atmospheric, while later work incorporated screamed, heavily distorted vocals alongside thematic material addressing psychosis, sadism, and mortality. Collector releases including The Great Death trilogy have become sought-after rarities. Karmanik closed Cold Meat Industry around 2014 after citing the toll the label took on his health.
