Boris Baltschun
Born in Bremen in 1974, he studied electronic music at the Institute for Sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague under Clarence Barlow, Joel Ryan, and Konrad Boehmer. Based in Berlin, he works with synthesizer and computer, often in long-running collaboration with Serge Baghdassarians across installation, sculpture, video, radio, and performance. In 2012 he and Baghdassarians received the Karl-Sczuka-Preis for the sound performance Bodybuilding. He is a member of The Pitch and the Splitter Orchester and has held residencies at the Cite des Arts in Paris and STEIM in Amsterdam.
