Bonnie Jones

Korean-American improvising musician, poet, and educator born in 1977 in South Korea and raised in New Jersey. She has been active as an improvising electronic musician since 1999, exploring noise, sonic identity, and listening through electronics, text, and performance. Based in Chicago, she teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grant in 2018. She co-founded TECHNE in 2010 with Suzanne Thorpe, an organization introducing young women to technology-based art, and has released work on Erstwhile Records among other labels.
