Bogdan Raczynski

Bogdan Raczynski (born 1974) is a Polish-Japanese electronic musician based in Tokyo. Releasing on Rephlex Records in the late 1990s and early 2000s, he developed an almost fanatically detailed style of IDM and drill and bass that combined extreme rhythmic complexity with unexpected tenderness — melodic fragments and emotional warmth embedded within hyperkinetic programming. Albums Samurai Math Beats (1999) and My Love I Love (2001) developed cult followings for their technical ferocity and unusual emotional register. He is one of the more original and under-discussed figures of the Rephlex generation of UK experimental electronic music.
