Body

Formed in 1999 in Little Rock, Arkansas by Chip King and Lee Buford, The Body relocated to Providence, Rhode Island and later Portland, Oregon, building one of the most singular bodies of work in experimental heavy music. King plays guitar and vocals, Buford plays drums and programming, and the duo has incorporated gospel choirs, industrial electronics, and noise elements into a practice rooted in sludge metal. Prolific collaborators, they have recorded with Full of Hell, Thou, Lingua Ignota, and Uniform, and released material on Thrill Jockey among many other labels.
