Blake Johnston

New Zealand sound artist, technologist, and composer who completed his doctorate at Te Kokei, the New Zealand School of Music at Victoria University of Wellington. His work brings together instrumental composition, kinetic sculpture, and music technology for performance and gallery settings. Notable works include Hummingbird, a sonic installation, and the Brackets series, which deconstructs the piano through live electronics. His output has been presented in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Colombia, Hong Kong, and Greece.
