Bellows

Bellows is the duo of Italian sound artists Giuseppe Ielasi and Nicola Ratti, working across drone, concrete music, glitch and ambient electroacoustics since at least 2016. Their completely improvised sets build fractal beats, acousmatic sound, tape loops and analog electronics into a radically uncompromising practice, despite the loose, unrehearsed way each performance comes together. Releases include a split with the New York duo Georgia (Decouple Series, OOH-sounds, 2019) and the album Undercurrent (Black Truffle, 2020), alongside other work through Boomkat Editions, Entr'acte, Shelter Press and Latency.
