Autechre
Autechre is a British electronic duo formed in Rochdale in 1987 by Rob Brown and Sean Booth, who have produced one of the most sustained and consistently inventive bodies of work in electronic music over more than three decades. Their recordings on Warp Records — beginning with Incunabula (1993) and continuing through Tri Repetae (1995), Chiastic Slide (1997), and subsequent albums including Oversteps (2010), Exai (2013), and NTS Sessions (2018) — have progressively abstracted electronic music away from recognizable forms while maintaining a quality of rhythmic logic and timbral invention that rewards the most attentive listening.
