Aura Satz

Aura Satz (b. 1975, Spain) is a British artist based in London whose work engages with film, sound, and performance to investigate the history of technology, inscription, and communication. Her practice centers on the cultural histories embedded in scientific and technological objects — particularly those related to sound recording, transmission, and early computational machines.

Satz is drawn to sites where human bodies meet machines: the synchronization of movement and sound, the gendering of technological labor, and the histories of overlooked inventors and operators.
