Atrax Morgue
Atrax Morgue was the power electronics and noise project of Italian artist Marco Corbelli (1971–2007), active from the early 1990s until his death. One of the most rigorous and personally extreme practitioners within Italian power electronics, Corbelli developed a sonic practice rooted in the aesthetics of Whitehouse and Con-Dom but inflected by a specifically Italian intensity of imagery and an autobiographical dimension that gave his recordings a quality of lived urgency. His releases on Slaughter Productions combined harsh electronics with manipulated voice and found material in compositions that are abrasive and confessional, leaving one of the genre's most extreme bodies of work.
