Arv & Miljö

Arv & Miljö is the solo project of Matthias Andersson, a Gothenburg-based musician also active in Enhet För Fri Musik and Heinz Hopf. Active since 2010, the project began as gritty noise and tape music with environmental recordings and failing electronics before shifting from 2018 toward lo-fi ambience described as "broken new age music" — bridging Swedish New Age electronics, DIY noise, and electroacoustic practice. A seasonal tetralogy of LPs (2018–2022) on Omlott documents this turn. He also releases on Discreet Music, Krim Kram, and Fragment Factory.
