Arrigo Lora Totino
Arrigo Lora Totino (1928–2016) was an Italian sound poet, performer and visual artist. A pioneer of concrete poetry and phonetic experimentation, he produced vocal, tape and multimedia works that expanded the possibilities of language as sonic material. His contributions remain foundational to sound poetry and experimental vocal practices. Active within the Italian and European Neo-Avant-Garde from the 1960s onward, he collaborated with figures including Henri Chopin, and co-founded the Italian sound poetry movement, publishing the journal Modulo.
