Arnaud Rivière

Based in Paris and active since the late 1990s, Arnaud Rivière is an electroacoustic musician, free improviser, instrument designer, and sound installation artist. He performs on a DIY device built around a repaired turntable pick-up, combined with a prepared mixer and other handmade tools. In 2003 he co-founded the Sonic Protest festival with Benoît Sonette and Franq de Quengo; the annual event, dedicated to experimental rock, electroacoustic music, improvisation, and noise, grew from Paris to encompass five French cities by 2012. He is also a member of the ONCEIM ensemble and has released recordings on the Eg0cide label.
