Anna Nacher
Anna Nacher is a Polish media theorist and sound artist, Associate Professor at the Institute of Audiovisual Arts, Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Her research spans digital aesthetics, electronic literature and postdigital culture, published in journals including Communications+1 and Hyperrhiz. Since the 1990s she has also worked as a musician under Magic Carpathians Project, releasing albums of psychedelic folk and field-recording-based sound on Polish, US and UK labels. A 2020 Fulbright alumna, she served on the Electronic Literature Organization's board from 2019-2024 and presents at ISEA symposia, pairing scholarly writing with a listening practice attuned to landscape and archive.
