Andrea Penso

Andrea Penso (born 1985, Italy) is a sound artist and composer working in field recording, tape and vinyl loops, and electroacoustic composition. He records site-specifically across Italian landscapes — the Apennines, the southern coast, the northwestern Alps — building layered, contemplative works of spatial density. He releases under his own name and as Selaxon Lutberg on Denovali Records, and runs Invisibilia Editions. He is part of the Canti Magnetici collective, researching anomalous sounds in southern Italy. Albums include La Colonna Infinita (2018), Ad Invisibilia (2023), and Oh! Uomo (2024); his cassette Folk Tapes was made in collaboration with Maria Valentina Chirico.
