Alexander Gornon
Alexander Gornon is a Russian poet and sound artist associated with the neo-Futurist and experimental poetry movements in Russia. His practice involves transforming text and voice through computer processing to create what he calls poem-operas, works that treat language as sonic material as much as semantic content. He has contributed to international sound poetry anthologies including the Homo Sonorus collection, and his 1998 sound work Ne-Ve-Promoi-Ki-Shkoj-Tzara appeared in anthologies of Russian sound poetry. He has collaborated with musicians including Sergey Letov and performed at experimental festivals in Russia.
