Alessandro Brivio

Based in Milan, Alessandro Brivio is an Italian sound artist and experimental musician whose work centers on aggressive loop construction, African field recordings, and sounds drawn from photographic equipment. His compositions are characterised by complex, obsessive rhythmic tracks reflecting a sustained engagement with African aesthetics. In more recent work he has explored extreme approaches to sound processing, diffusion, and re-composition using compressed air, percussion, piano, and samples. He is closely associated with the Milan-based label Senufo Editions, founded by Giuseppe Ielasi, releasing records including 6pezzi2009+lagodelnulla and Associazioni Poro.
