Alejandra Hernández

Mexican composer and sound artist. Alejandra Hernández studied percussion in Mexico and at Berklee College of Music in Boston on a Fulbright-García Robles scholarship. She focuses on electroacoustic music and interdisciplinary work, combining technology with contemporary instrumental techniques. Her portfolio spans eighteen electroacoustic pieces, multimedia works, and collaborative projects. She has released work on the Col legno label, including the 2014 album Móvil, and holds recognition from Mexico's National System of Art Creators with FONCA grants in 2005 and 2012. She has been a member of Spain's Association of Electroacoustic Music and Sound Art (AMEE) since 2011.
