Alejandra & Aeron

Alejandra Salinas (born 1977, La Rioja, Spain) and Aeron Bergman (born 1971, Detroit) are an artist duo based in Detroit working across media, performance, sound, and sculpture. Their early recordings are among the first to combine folk and laptop electronic music; their work Ruinas Encantadas received an honorary mention at Prix Ars Electronica in 2001. They have released twelve full-length audio works on labels including Fat Cat, Orthlorng Musork, and Tomlab, and ran the Lucky Kitchen imprint releasing work by Pauline Oliveros and others. They founded the Institute for New Connotative Action (INCA) and have exhibited at the Centre Pompidou, Palais de Tokyo, and Van Abbemuseum.
